I have found that graphic design is a nebulous career field, meaning you have an incredibly wide range of tools and skill-sets to work with. Many graphic designers find themselves becoming programmers, painters, or photographers for some of their projects while others wield typography and layout design as their sword and shield.

I currently fall under the category of the latter, working as a layout artist for a medical liaison company based in Chicago, IL. I also freelance as a web designer: creating clean, fast-loading, accessible web sites by using semantic HTML coding, CSS, and SEO techniques; programming flexible, modular web sites in PHP; and expanding my knowledge of the powerful CMS engine, WordPress.

The rest of my time is spent serving on the Board of Trustees at the Serbian Cultural and Arts Center St. Sava. It is a position that I value very highly because it allows me to donate my efforts towards preserving and promoting Serbian heritage and culture in Chicago and surrounding metropolitan areas. I am also the webmaster for their website.
